I'm currently travelling for work to Las Vegas. During a flight from Montreal to Philadelphia, another passenger and I asked the stewardess about some land marks we saw. She responded that she never got a chance to look out the window during flights so she couldn't tell us. I often think that working as a flight attendant would be a neat job, but it is more like a scary combination of a nurse and a metro worker.
Flying for them is like riding on the metro is for me. they enter the plane in one place, it shakes around a bit and then they get out in a completely different place
It was also an interesting flight because the CRJ we were flying hit a lot of wake turbulence as we were executing a cross wind landing. At least one wheel hit the ground before the airplane rolled sharply right and left and then the pilot went around.
[Some time later]
My first impressions of Vegas are as follows: everything here flashes and beeps, and people all drive their mammoth SUV's with their dogs on their laps.
